A living roof is not only an aesthetic enhancement for buildings and urban landscapes through added greenery, but it also fulfills key functions that have a real impact.

A living roof provides excellent insulation. In summer, it prevents buildings from overheating by cooling the roof by up to 35°C, while in winter, it helps retain heat indoors, contributing to energy savings.

Equally important is its water retention function. At a time when rainfall is increasingly scarce, a living roof does not lose water to the sewage system but instead retains it and gradually releases it, positively influencing the microclimate of urban environments.

The sedum mat is a pre-cultivated layer designed for installation on extensive living roofs. It consists of carefully selected varieties of sedum—perennials renowned for their exceptional drought resistance. This vegetation thrives on rooftops without the need for regular maintenance, relying solely on rainfall and water stored in the lower layers of the roof system.

Thanks to the combination of multiple sedum species, living roofs offer diverse color shades throughout the year. The color variations of the sedum mat change depending on the weather, season, irrigation, and care quality.

We work with the concept of “smart photovoltaics,” utilizing the Infigy system. This system monitors household electricity usage and, based on current spot electricity prices, efficiently distributes the generated energy directly for household consumption, battery storage, or sale to the grid.

A photovoltaic system with panels installed on a building’s roof, combined with a living roof, represents the ideal solution. The living roof cools the solar panels, increasing their efficiency, while the panels provide protection for the vegetation and enable greater plant diversity on the living roof.

This unique combination also makes it possible to qualify for subsidies under the New Green Savings Programme program.

Maintenance & Services

INSTALATION IS JUST THE BEGINNING

Our commitment doesn’t end with the installation of your living roof. Extensive living roofs are designed to require only minimal maintenance. However, we recommend conducting inspections twice a year to remove any rooted plants, clean the drainage systems, and provide the greenery with the necessary nutrients through fertilization.

This approach ensures the long-term functionality and aesthetics of your roof without demanding intensive regular upkeep. With our technical equipment and experienced team, we are happy to assist you with any inspections or maintenance.

Financing

Investing in a living roof will increase the value of your property thanks to its insulation and drainage properties.

The price of implementation is determined by the specific characteristics of the particular roof type and the corresponding system solution. We offer a complete solution starting from 1,700 CZK/m². The implementation of living roofs can be partially financed through subsidies, the form and amount of which always depend on the specific project.

We are happy to provide full assistance with the entire application process, from preparation to approval. Our proposed solutions meet all standards for the design, implementation, and maintenance of living roofs required to obtain a subsidy.
